This hostel exceeded all my expectations as a budget traveler. With private light and plugs, AC in dorms, and hot water, I felt right at home. the owner, who speaks fluent French, went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. He provided helpful tips on where to eat and the cheapest ways to do activities. the free map of the old city was a lifesaver. I also appreciated the ability to boil water for tea or noodles and the affordable laundry service. the capsule concept was fantastic, providing larger bunks with plenty of storage space. the personal fan and reading light added to the comfort, while the kitchen, luggage storage, and key access made everything convenient. the owner's knowledge and generosity made this one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in.
Felt completely happy, no reason to complain.

My friends and I had a blast staying at Smile Capsule Hostel in Chiang Mai! The location was perfect for us, as we love cycling and the area is super popular for it. We explored all the cool spots around and even had a mini adventure trying out some local street food. The atmosphere in the hostel was awesome too - we met so many fellow young travelers and had a great time hanging out together.
If there's one thing I would have asked for, it's a bit more party vibes at the hostel. Don't get me wrong, we had a blast with the other guests, but we were really in the mood for some wild nights and exciting parties.

During our stay at Smile Capsule, we were impressed by the well-equipped kitchen, convenient luggage storage, and the ability to securely lock our belongings in the bunk's storage room. The large beds with soft mattresses provided a comfortable night's sleep, and the upper bunks with stairways instead of ladders added a charming touch. The hostel also provided plenty of bathrooms and showers, ensuring that we never had to wait. The pillows and blankets were nice and the thick curtains allowed for privacy. We appreciated the hanging rack for our towels and the availability of light and outlets. The wifi was reliable, and the proprietor was open, knowledgeable, generous, and courteous. this is one of the best hostels we've ever stayed in.
Although our stay at Smile Capsule was exceptional, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. the bathroom doors closed towards the inside, making it difficult for less fit individuals to fit inside when closing the door.
